Contest ENTRY Requirements
  • Submit five (5) original photographs that work together to tell one cohesive visual story responding to the theme Palm Beach County Through Your Eyes.
  • Give your photo story a title. The title should reflect the subject, theme or story represented by your five photographs.
  • Each photograph must be taken by the student submitting the entry.
  • Image File Size: Minimum 1 MB; Maximum 5 MB per photograph.
  • File Format: JPEG or JPG.
  • Submit the highest-quality image available. Images should be large enough for high-quality printing and display.
  • Basic photo editing—including cropping and adjustments to exposure, contrast, color, highlights and shadows—is permitted.
    Images should remain photographic in nature. Significant digital manipulation, compositing, adding or removing elements, and AI-generated or AI-altered imagery are not permitted.
  • Do not submit PowerPoints, movies, audio, animation or other multimedia files.
  • Submit the five photographs in the order in which you intend them to be viewed.
  • Include a brief 75-word artist statement describing the story you are telling, why you chose your subject and/or what you hope viewers will notice.
  • The artist statement provides context for the judges and will not be judged on writing ability.
  • Selected submissions may be displayed on the Zoe Loren Foundation website, social media channels and in promotional or exhibition materials.
  • All photographs must be appropriate for a student photography contest and suitable for viewing by students, families, schools, and the general public. Submissions may not include sexually explicit, excessively violent, hateful, discriminatory, threatening, illegal, or otherwise inappropriate content. Photographs that promote drugs, alcohol, tobacco or vaping products, weapons, or illegal activity are not permitted.
    Please respect the dignity and privacy of the people you photograph. If an identifiable person is a primary subject of your photograph, make sure you have permission to photograph and submit their image.

    The Zoe Loren Foundation reserves the right to remove or disqualify any submission it determines is inappropriate or does not comply with the contest rules.

Who Can Enter

Palm Beach County students in grades 7-8 or grades 9-12.
